Connecticut Cottages & Gardens invited some of the area's finest photographers to share one iconic image of our state and to “tell us what they find most inspiring about the natural beauty of Connecticut.”
I was honored to be included in this special edition of CTC&G magazine, and wanted to share it with you.
"Water along the Connecticut coastline, in all its moods and appearances, inspires me. From the
full force of crashing waves against piles of glacial rocks, to the sun-drenched beaches and sandy
shores, or the quiet ripples of water that reflect a setting sun, these experiences heighten my
awareness and allow me to see the usual in a new way. The true appeal of the Connecticut coastline
is its ever-changing nature. The light upon moving water is most inspiring, especially during the
“magic hours” of sunrise and sunset. Quietly watching a dark-blue sky fill with a canopy of clouds over an endless ocean raises my spirits and rejuvenates me. I am happiest, though, when my
camera is in hand and I am at the ready to capture on film that ephemeral and wonderful moment."
